The Center Supervisor II is responsible for the general and ng regulatory and legal compliance with federal, state and local regulations in a center operating seven or more classrooms. Takes charge, directs and coordinates activities of others, and assumes leadership responsibility when appropriate. Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining and supervising assigned staff. Develops subordinates by inspiring their best efforts to achieve identified goals. Assigns tasks in accordance with their development needs. Submits required employee documents in a timely fashion. HS Diploma or GED and one year certificate in Early Childhood Education; OR AA/AAS degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Multicultural Education, Child Development or related degree and at least two (2) years of experience in an early childhood growth and development setting. A degree is considered related only when it has a minimum of 29 credits in Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development. Early childhood growth and development settings include, but are not limited to, licensed or registered family child care programs, licensed center-based early childhood education and development programs, and family support programs; OR BA/BS degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Multicultural Education or Child Development or a related field with at least one (1) year of experience in an early childhood growth and development setting. A degree is considered related only when it has a minimum of 45 credits in Early Childhood Education and/or Child Development. Early childhood growth and development settings include, but are not limited to, licensed or registered family child care programs, licensed center-based early childhood education and development programs, and family support programs; OR MA/MS degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Multicultural Education or Child Development. 21 years or older. Two years supervisory experience. Experience in financial management and budgeting preferred. Bilingual Spanish or Navajo preferred. Must have an understanding of, orChild Care Licensing Regulations and the Head Start Performance Standards. In accordance with the federal Head Start Act, Section 648A(g) and the New Mexico Administrative Code 8.8.3., this position requires Criminal Background Checks. Wage range: $14.22 to $21.00 per hour, dependent on education.
