Under supervision, this position provides Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS) for adults with significant behavioral health disorders and their families to improve quality of life and maintain the highest possible ability to function independently within the community. Requires HS diploma/GED plus 3 years experience working with the target population; OR Associate's degree in a human service field plus 2 years experience working with the target population; OR related Bachelor's degree plus 1 year experience working with the target population. Related college degrees include Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, and Human Services. Target population is defined as adults with severe mental illness (SMI), chronic substance dependence, or co-occurring disorder and/or dually diagnosed with a primary diagnosis of mental illness. Certification as a Peer or Family Specialist can substitute for 1 year of related work experience. Must complete 20 hours of documented training within 90 days of employment that includes topics outlined in the NM Interagency Behavioral Health staffing requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must have or able to obtain First Aid and BLS/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire. Must have valid driver's license and may be required to use personal transportation to carry out job duties. Position requires successful completion of background checks.
